CPRH State Environmental Agency of the state Pernambuco Brazil, starts using the Timbeter Lumber solution to optimize the inspection and licensing processes for wood loads in Pernambuco
The result of an International Technical Cooperation Agreement signed between the Government of Pernambuco and Timbeter, a forest tech company specializing in timber measurement and data management using artificial intelligence and machine learning; CPRH State Environmental Agency, now has started using Timbeter Lumber solution, capable of measuring the volume of a load of sawn wood through photo-optical detection.

Timbeter, the Government of Pernambuco and CPRH State Environmental Agency agreed that they would start a cooperation during the 26th edition of the United Nations Climate Change Conference 2021 in Glasgow (United Kingdom).

This version of Timbeter application met the specific demands and needs of the CPRH inspection and environmental licensing teams, who went through training on May 16th to use the virtual tool in field activities. “With the use of the application, the calculations for determining the amount of sawn wood, which were done manually by the CPRH inspection and licensing teams, will be made available in minutes. The tool also guarantees the most accurate data collection, taking into account the amount of empty spaces between each piece of wood in the load. The application also helps to optimize the time for data evaluation, which will generate an improvement in the quality of the service provided by CPRH to society, as well as improve the execution of field work by CPRH agents” commented the Natural Resources Inspection Manager from CPRH, Elba Borges.
