The State Forests National Holding (LASY PAŃSTWOWE) launched a pilot project to use Timbeter in the Nowe Ramuki Forest District of the country.

During the pilot project, the Nowe Ramuki Forest District will use Timbeter’s Artificial Intelligence and machine learning technology for measurements, and digital reporting.

It will also use, for testing reasons for now, Timbeter’s cloud storage solution to save all the information in digital form, have a real time overview of all the measurements made in different parts of the district by different officials, taking advantage of geolocation information, remote collaboration and reporting.

The pilot project is scheduled to the end of August 2020, and the goal is to assess the use of Timbeter in the Poland State Forest operations. The test connection for exchanging data of measurements made during the test is already set. To kick start the pilot project, there was a full training day with polish foresters from Nowe Ramuki Forest District filled with a lot of Q&A. Timbeter’s Customer Support Manager, Rachel Di Giuseppe, traveled to the region to facilitate the session on the use of Timbeter.

Timbeter apps are available in Polish, which will facilitate the use of the technology.

The forestry sector in many countries around the world, including Poland, has been designated as a critical activity since packaging, as well as personal hygiene and health related products come from forests that are managed sustainably, such as the Poland State Forests. Timbeter’s technology makes it possible to reduce human contact and follow guidelines of social distancing in many cases.

Timbeter’s mission is to bring transparency to the forestry sector around the world, minimize waste so that each log reaches its potential, and make forestry operations more transparent and efficient. Anna-Greta Tsahkna, CEO of Timbeter, said “there is a need for increasing the efficiency of daily operations performed in the forestry sector all over the world, as well as a requirement for centralization of data for timber management and oversight of operations. Timbeter enables state forests and companies around the world to bring transparency and traceability to the whole supply chain and minimize possible errors”.
