Timbeter’s project “Automation of forest inventory and carbon sequestration calculation” received a positive funding decision from the EAS measure “Supporting applied research and product development of entrepreneurs”. The aim of the project is to analyze methods for automating ground-based forest inventory and linking it with remote sensing data and providing accurate data for calculating net value and forest growth.
The research development project enables the development of full capacity innovative technology and the promotion of Estonian technology to the world market, providing accurate and transparent data for forestry statistics and carbon calculation. Additional features add to the integrity of Timbeter’s product portfolio and increase competitiveness and will expand Timbeter’s product range. This allows expanding the customer base in existing markets and entering new developing markets, primarily in Latin America and Africa. Project development is carried out with researchers from the Estonian University of Life Sciences.
