Thanks to an initiative of Agtech Garage, one of the most important technology hubs in Latin America for agriculture and food industries, Timbeter will be available to medium and small producers in Brazil, who will be able to use the technology during these difficult times at a reduced cost.
The goal of the “COVID19 Challenge” initiative is to bring digital innovations to Brazilian agricultural and food producers that have found themselves needing to transform their operations in these difficult times, by identifying reliable and high-impact solutions and promoting diffusion and adoption by rural producers, contributing to the efficiency of agricultural production and supplying the population, as a way of coping with the crisis triggered by COVID-19.
Timbeter was selected with other startups to be part of the initiative by a committee created by Bayer. The initiative also has the support of Sicredi, Bayer Life Hub São Paulo, Agtech Garage and Orbia. Timbeter and the other solutions will be available through Orbia.ag platform.
“We are happy to participate in this challenge, and be able to bring our technology to small and medium producers in the forestry sector in Brazil during these hard times”, said Rachel Di Giusseppe, Sales Representative for the Brazilian Market. “Digital technologies like Timbeter can bring safer working conditions and efficiency to the forestry sector, bringing affordable digital transformation to medium and smaller companies, in communities that depend on the forest for their livelihood”, Di Giussepe said.
