Timbeter showcases innovative timber measurement technology at forestry seminar in Poland

On April 9, 2025, Timbeter had the privilege of participating in the industry seminar “Digital Methods for Measuring Timber Material”, held at the Forest Promotion Center in Goraj-Zamek, organized under the patronage of the General Director of the State Forests (Lasy Państwowe) in Poland.

The seminar brought together leading technology providers, forestry professionals, researchers, and industry representatives to explore the latest innovations in timber measurement. The event focused on photo-optical and harvester head-based measurement systems, as well as techniques used in wood processing facilities, such as ATRO calculations and laser scanners.

Timbeter presented its state-of-the-art photo-optical measurement solution, demonstrating how digital tools can ensure accuracy, transparency, and efficiency in measuring roundwood. The presentation included insights into the core principles of our technology, required equipment, existing user base, and certifications confirming the reliability and quality of our system.

Timbeter is already cooperating with the Polish State Forests (PGL LP) as part of a large-scale digital transformation project initiated by Director General’s Order No. 92/2024. The pilot phase, active in the Regional Directorates in Piła and Poznań, integrates Timbeter’s AI-powered technology into approximately 100 forestry units. The initiative aims to reduce the workload of foresters, streamline measurement processes, and enhance data accuracy. With the support of Leśnik+ integration, the project has already measured up to 700,000 cubic meters of timber and is set for wider implementation in 2025.

The seminar also served as a platform to summarize pilot implementations of photo-optical methods across the Regional Directorates of State Forests in Piła and Poznań. Timbeter’s contribution highlighted not only our technological capabilities but also our practical experience in supporting digital transformation across forestry operations worldwide.

We extend our sincere thanks to the organizers and all participants for fostering an open and constructive dialogue. Events like this are vital for shaping the future of sustainable forestry, and Timbeter is proud to be part of this journey toward smarter, data-driven forest management.
